Over the past 10 years the Colts have made a name for themselves not only in the NFL but for the city. They have brought the city millions of dollars and a Superbowl win. But how quick are we to turn our backs on them with a less than desirable season so far? So what? With great teams come great fans. We always hear about the fans of the Browns, Raiders, and Bears who year after year stick by their team. We owe it to the Colts to give them our support and devotion. We have a new house and need to become the 12th player to show the Colts we love them.
I have to admit, seeing the Hoosier Dome come crashing down yesterday was really frickin cool. But I just can't understand why they wouldn't leave it up until after our 2012 Super Bowl. As part of the bid, we were required to show the existence of a professional quality facility at a reasonable distance from the game-field... which we're going to BUILD at Arsenal Tech? WTF? The dome was next door! And it was already there! Sure, having the Super Bowl is gonna be awesome, and it's gonna take a lot of money, but I just get an awful feeling we're gonna see the city leaders and Super Bowl Committee start pissing away money over the next couple years getting ready. It's a celebration of extravagance, but it's not an excuse to be inefficient with our money.
Some have ranted that the Colts had a bad season and were not appreciated. Someone needs to look closer at the facts. Colts had another record breaking season. Even more NFL firsts. And they are appreciated much more than some may think. Just look at their attendance in the new Lucas Oil Field (my nickname for the stadium) Over 100%, highest in the league. And another playoff spot. Peyton with another 4000 yard season breaking his own record, Marvin now second to only Jerry Rice in pass receptions! We don't have just a team. We have one of the top teams in NFL history! Even the backups know how to score...and win.
The Colts couldnt stop a guy 5'6" from running the ball all over the field and making them look like keystone cops unable to catch a burglar, but the steelers shut him down with no problem haha, I'm trading in my blue gear for those men In black, GO STEELERS!
Darrell Reid was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing this weekend for "running his mouth" to an off-duty cop at Oxygen on the northside. Okay, trying to get into a club that they're trying to get people out of isn't a great idea. And pulling out the "I don't have to leave, because I'm a football player with the Colts," is just bad form... but, arresting him, really? What the hell is the deal with IMPD throwing their weight around like this is a middle school lockerroom? It's like they're saying, "I don't care who you are, I'll arrest you for some bullshit just to prove I'm more important." Should Reid have been less of a moron? Sure. Should he have been representing the team and the city more professionally? Of course. Should he have been arrested for some stupid shit? Hell no. Try arresting people that are robbing children at bustops.
Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know, "that your entitled to your opinions just like me, so my take it's not about the win/lose, how did we play as over-all team." Each player tried and should be given a chance to play maybe sooner than later, yet each are getting paid to do a job." I believe we are AFC champions and have field advantage, so one lose isn't going to make the team less. Than if we had to win to get into the playoffs, unlike the Jets, who are barely in for their time to shine. So, we'll see who goes all the way, I don't want to be the team with perfect season and not opportunity for play-offs or Super-Bowl. Give the team-players a chance along with the coaches/managers, too. No team members are better than the rest in the long run even the starter may need a break. I'm a true fan even before the days of Harbough, Faulk, George, Peyton Manning, Saturday, Wayne, Freeney, Sanders or Clark, etc. Thanks for listening.
First go Colts. We as a city should embrace r players they gave us a wonderful season. You the players especially peyton Manning hold your head up high and if any fans are angry or mad was not a fan to begin with. Thank you for your success and a wonderful season, I look forward to next year to be stronger and better we will overcome this. And to Indianapolis we should still have a pep rally for our team to show them that they are No 1 and the best in the NFL. Stick by your team, win or lose. To all the players you are #1 and I am very proud of you. Go Colts!!!
