New Gun Law to carry hand guns in autos

that law biding citizens with a license to carry a handgun should have the right to keep it in their car, even at work as long as their car remains locked. I mean you don't want to go around telling people that you have a gun in your car or on your person (when not at work) anyways. People may park on company property when at work but what is in my car is mine not the company's.  People obtain permits to carry, in order to carry for protection in case something should happen; and that could be either on the way to or from work before your able to get home to obtain your hand gun!  Would your company want to be sued just because they didn't let you carry and keep in your car if something should happen to you to or from work?
